Before Green Day played London’s Hyde Park on July 1, 2017, Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” came over the venue speakers and the waiting crowd joined in. Scroll.in reported the crowd at 65,000, an estimate rather than a verified headcount.
What the video shows
The footage captures a mass singalong before Green Day took the stage. As “Bohemian Rhapsody” played over the sound system, people across the crowd sang along; reports also describe some audience members humming the guitar solo. Scroll.in said the video was recorded from the stage, and a University of Chicago repository document cites a Green Day video of the moment, titled “LONDON, ENGLAND Green Day Crowd Singing Bohemian Rhapsody – Hyde Park July 1st, 2017,” posted to the band’s official YouTube channel on July 3, 2017.

Scroll.in’s July 10, 2017 report describes the scene and gives the crowd estimate. Entertainment.ie’s account also describes the singalong and lists Rancid, The Stranglers and The Damned among the acts on the Hyde Park bill.
Was it really 65,000 people?
Scroll.in reported 65,000 people, while Entertainment.ie described the crowd as 65,000-plus. Those figures are media estimates; the accounts do not establish an independently verified attendance total. The title’s “perfectly” is an expressive description, not a measured judgment of musical accuracy, and the footage does not establish that every attendee sang.

Why the moment stands out
“Bohemian Rhapsody” is a recorded Queen song, not a performance by Queen at the event. Its familiar vocal passages gave the waiting audience a song to share before Green Day’s set. Scroll.in also mentioned a similar singalong before a Green Day show at Emirates Stadium in 2013; that was a separate event, not part of the Hyde Park footage.
