Dwight and Bill Bevilaqua’s war starts in earnest when Tyson attacks Bill’s capo at the end of Tulsa King Season 2, Episode 7. The capo survives, but the assault shatters the fragile partnership Dwight and Bill had reached at an Atlanta sit-down. In Episode 8, Bill prepares to retaliate, and his men shoot at Dwight’s dispensary, hitting Jimmy the Creek. A later revelation about Jackie Ming’s bombing of the vehicle carrying Tyson’s father shows that the conflict has a deeper chain of causes than the attack alone.

Paramount+ lists Season 2, Episode 8 as “Under New Management,” dated November 3, 2024. Its official synopsis is: “Bevilaqua prepares for revenge. What triggers Dwight and Bill’s war?
The immediate trigger is Tyson’s attack on Bill’s capo at the end of Episode 7. The attack comes after Dwight’s expansion into Tulsa has brought him into contact with Kansas City’s interests. Episode 8 turns the breakdown into open violence. Bill prepares revenge, and Kansas City’s men fire on Dwight’s dispensary. Jimmy the Creek is hit in the attack. The available recap describes him as hit; it does not establish his immediate survival status consistently enough to state it as certain.

Why does Jackie Ming matter to the conflict?
The attack on Bill’s capo explains why Bill moves against Dwight, but it does not explain the whole chain of hostility. Cal tells Bill that Jackie Ming planted the car bomb that nearly killed Mark, Tyson’s father. That revelation points to Jackie as a third party helping set the conflict in motion. Dwight and Bill’s dispute is not simply a clean retaliation between two sides: territorial pressure and mistrust have compounded the damage, while Jackie’s actions have helped distort each side’s understanding of events.

What the ending means
By the end of “Under New Management,” Bill’s revenge posture follows directly from Tyson’s attack, but the bomb revelation complicates the question of who truly started the bloodshed. The episode leaves the audience with a conflict built from an immediate provocation and older, tangled causes: Dwight’s growing presence in Tulsa, the fragile Kansas City partnership, and Jackie Ming’s role in the bombing.
