Contemporaneous reports said Tom Cruise paid for his daughter Isabella’s 2015 wedding to Max Parker, but did not attend. They do not establish that Isabella banned him: one account said neither set of parents was invited, while another offered a conflicting explanation. No direct statement from Cruise or the couple appears in the reports reviewed here.
What was reported about Isabella Cruise’s wedding?
Isabella Cruise, then 22, married British IT consultant Max Parker in London on September 18, 2015, according to CBS News, which published its account on October 6. CBS said neither Tom Cruise nor Isabella’s mother, Nicole Kidman, attended. Its details were attributed to Us Weekly and People, rather than to direct comments from the family.

CBS reported that People said Cruise supported the marriage and paid for the wedding. TMZ, reporting a day earlier, also attributed payment to anonymous sources connected with Tom and Isabella. TMZ said Cruise paid for the wedding and party at The Dorchester in London.
Was Tom Cruise banned from attending?
The available reports do not confirm that he was banned. TMZ’s sources said the couple wanted a small London wedding with a few friends and invited neither set of parents. That account describes a decision about the guest list, but does not establish that Isabella singled out or barred her father.

A conflicting account appeared in IBTimes UK, which relayed an unnamed New York Post source’s claim that the ceremony was connected to Scientology and scheduled so Cruise could not attend because of work commitments. The same report acknowledged that the couple might simply have wanted privacy. This anonymous allegation does not prove that Isabella banned him.

- Wedding: Reports place it in London on September 18, 2015.
- Attendance: Contemporary coverage said neither Cruise nor Kidman attended.
- Payment: Several outlets attributed payment to Cruise, but the claim rests on media reporting, including anonymous-source accounts, not a public statement from him or the couple.
- Reason for the parents’ absence: The reports conflict, and none of the reviewed accounts provides direct confirmation from Isabella or Parker.
India Today also repeated TMZ’s account that neither set of parents attended because the couple wanted a small wedding, alongside a separate Us Weekly source saying the parents were absent. These reports add coverage of the story, but do not resolve why the parents were not there.
