Danny DeVito turned 80 on November 17, 2024. His It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia co-stars Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson marked the milestone with birthday tributes posted online, according to reports published the following day.
What did Kaitlin Olson say to Danny DeVito?
Olson’s reported birthday message was: “Happy birthday to my favourite (rum) ham.” The Independent quoted the caption on November 18, 2024. Its “rum ham” pun nods to a recurring joke from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The Independent’s report gives the wording.
AOL also reported Olson’s tribute and described a photo of her and DeVito seated in a kitchen in holiday attire. AOL’s coverage provides that image detail.
What did Rob McElhenney post?
November 2024 coverage reported that McElhenney shared a birthday tribute to DeVito on social media. The Independent covered his post alongside Olson’s message, but the complete caption is not established in the contemporaneous reports cited here, so it should not be reconstructed or presented as a direct quote.
