There is no verified measurement showing that Rhea Ripley underwent a specific body transformation, and a photograph alone cannot establish one. The reliable story is more nuanced: Ripley has spoken about finding a presentation that felt authentic to her, later discussed personal struggles and online scrutiny, and rejected a claim that muscle-related back pain made her slim down.
What the available evidence can—and cannot—show
The specific “new image” implied by claims about Ripley’s appearance cannot be identified from the available reporting. Different images and workout posts have circulated, but no single dated image is established here as proof of a physical change. Without that image and its context, it would be misleading to describe it as evidence of a transformation.
The reviewed sources also provide no verified weight, body-composition figure, or other measurement quantifying a change. WWE’s live profile lists Ripley’s height as 5’7”, but height does not establish a change in weight or physique. WWE’s profile identifies her as Rhea Ripley and lists Adelaide, South Australia, as her hometown; roster and championship information on a live profile can change.
Ripley has described changing how she presented herself
A March 6, 2024 report by USA Insider recounts Ripley’s comments about feeling pressure to fit expectations early in her WWE career. “I was so young and I just wanted to please everyone. I was so scared of doing anything different or anything that I thought was different,” she said, as quoted by the outlet.

Ripley also credited former WWE wrestler Ruby Riott with helping her express a side of herself that felt more genuine. “she helped me just bring out that side of me that was me,” Ripley said, as quoted by USA Insider. This is her account of self-expression and career expectations—not a quantified explanation of a change in body size or composition.
What Ripley said about the back-pain claim
In an April 11, 2026 report, Fightful described Ripley rejecting a claim that she had said muscle mass caused back pain and that this was why she slimmed down. The outlet reported that the purported interview had not happened as described. Ripley’s response was: “That ‘interview’ never happened. Just another made up thing about me 🤷🏻♀️”

That correction matters: the alleged explanation should not be repeated as Ripley’s own account. Fightful distinguished it from an earlier back-pain incident discussed in another interview; the reporting cited here does not establish that muscle mass caused her pain or prompted a body change.
Her later health disclosure is a personal account
F4W reported on April 17, 2026, that Ripley discussed dealing with an eating disorder and described stress and online scrutiny in comments from a Pod Meets World discussion. She explained her choice to speak about struggles this way: “I try to be as vocal with my struggles as possible because if it’s going to help someone, then why not talk about it?”

Those statements should be understood as Ripley’s personal account, reported by F4W, not as an independent medical assessment. They do not justify guessing about her health, treatment, diet, or weight. Nor do they establish that an image reflects a particular cause or outcome.

Appearance can look different across images for reasons that do not measure body change, including clothing, lighting, pose, and the context in which a photograph was taken. A responsible comparison needs dated, appropriately licensed images and enough context to identify when and where each was made. Even then, photographs cannot establish health status or precise body measurements.

Informal online questions such as “Why does Rhea Ripley look different?” show that some viewers are curious, but they are not polling or evidence that a particular transformation occurred. The sound conclusion is narrower: Ripley has discussed self-presentation and personal struggles, and she has corrected a false claim about why she supposedly slimmed down; the available reporting does not quantify a body transformation.
