Je’Von Evans and Penta beat World Tag Team Champions Bron Breakker and Austin Theory in a non-title match, while Stephanie Vaquer turned a disrupted women’s contender match into a triple-threat title defense against Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch at Money in the Bank. WWE’s October 5, 2026 Raw also advanced the Oba Femi–The Vision and LA Knight–Roman Reigns stories. The official recap points to Money in the Bank; it does not confirm that this Raw set up a particular Saturday Night’s Main Event.
What changed on Raw, October 5, 2026?
The clearest changes were momentum and match stakes, not a championship changing hands. WWE’s official results for the October 5 episode record four decisive match outcomes, one no-contest, and two prominent storyline developments.
- Evans and Penta beat the World Tag Team Champions in a non-title match; Breakker and Theory remained champions.
- Vaquer made her title defense a triple threat against Morgan and Lynch at Money in the Bank after their contender match ended without a winner.
- Big Cass interfered in Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee’s loss to Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh, then attacked the defeated pair.
- Knight confronted Reigns, and Femi brawled with The Vision, advancing those stories without producing a match result.
Winners and losers from the matches
Je’Von Evans and Penta: biggest tag-team momentum win
Evans and Penta defeated Breakker and Theory, the reigning World Tag Team Champions. The Vision attacked before the bell, and Maxxine Dupri and Logan Paul tried to pass brass knuckles to Theory. Evans took the weapon and hit Theory behind the referee’s back before pinning him. The result gives Evans and Penta a high-profile win, but it was explicitly non-title: there was no championship change.
Bron Breakker and Austin Theory: a loss, not a title loss
The champions lost the match, but not their belts. That distinction matters: Raw delivered a meaningful setback for Breakker and Theory without establishing a new tag-team champion.

Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez: a win aided by a miscue
Perez and Rodriguez defeated Sol Ruca and Lola Vice. Ruca and Vice initially worked well together, but Vice accidentally struck Ruca with a spinning backfist. Perez took advantage and rolled up Vice for the pin.
Sol Ruca and Lola Vice: a team-chemistry setback
The finish turned on a mistake between partners rather than a clear breakdown by either wrestler alone. It is fair to call it a damaging loss for the team, but not evidence that either competitor has collapsed individually.
Rey Fenix: a non-title win over Ethan Page
Fenix beat Page with a roll-up after Page escaped a Mexican Muscle Buster attempt and landed a superkick. WWE identifies Fenix as AAA Cruiserweight Champion, but that championship was not at stake in this match.

Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh: a win shaped by interference
Dominik and McDonagh defeated Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee. Big Cass pulled Lee off the apron, distracting Rey; McDonagh then headbutted Rey and scored the pin. Cass attacked both Rey and Lee after the match, giving the defeat an immediate follow-up in the developing conflict.
The women’s title picture: Vaquer makes it a triple threat
The No. 1 contender match between Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch ended in a no-contest, not a win for either wrestler. Morgan nearly won by count-out; Lynch countered a frog splash with a DDT and applied the Dis-arm-her. Morgan bit Lynch to escape and later applied a single-leg Boston crab. Judgment Day members Rodriguez and Perez interfered, and Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer arrived and had them ejected. Lynch accidentally struck Vaquer, who then attacked both contenders.
Vaquer’s intervention produced the episode’s most consequential women’s-division change: she forced Raw General Manager Adam Pearce to make her Money in the Bank title defense a triple threat against both Morgan and Lynch. That is an announced match-format change, not a title change on Raw. The WWE Raw program page and its episode highlights likewise present the developments in the context of Money in the Bank.

Storyline developments without match results
Oba Femi enters the fight with The Vision
Femi brawled with The Vision and helped Evans and Penta fend off the group. Calling him a momentum winner is an assessment of the segment, not an official award or a recorded match victory.
LA Knight and Roman Reigns advance their feud
Knight said he would defeat Reigns at Money in the Bank, and WWE described their exchange as a fiery faceoff. Neither man wrestled in a match on this episode, so this is storyline movement rather than a result.
Does this Raw set up Saturday Night’s Main Event?
The confirmed next-match development in WWE’s Raw recap is Vaquer’s triple-threat title defense at Money in the Bank. The recap also ties Knight and Reigns to that event. The official Saturday Night’s Main Event page displays July as its latest listed Saturday edition and does not establish an upcoming Saturday event linked to this Raw. So the episode’s results and its Money in the Bank implications are clear, but a direct Saturday Night’s Main Event connection is not confirmed by those official pages. WWE’s Raw archive provides the episode-date context.
