A May 3, 2025 Forbes article reported two PC games for Prime subscribers through GOG and a Fortnite cosmetic tied to linking Epic and My Disney accounts. Those giveaways and the Fortnite reward should be treated as historical; they are not confirmed live offers as of October 8, 2026.
What was free in the May 2025 roundup?
Barry Collins’s May 3, 2025 Forbes article described two different kinds of Star Wars offers: full PC games offered to Prime subscribers and a Fortnite character outfit. The article did not establish that either promotion remains redeemable. Read the original Forbes roundup.

How the Prime Gaming games were redeemed
According to the 2025 article, Prime membership was required, and both PC games were redeemed through GOG using a GOG account. That describes the reported promotion, not a present-day redemption route. Amazon Gaming’s claims page returned a technical-difficulties message when checked on October 8, 2026, and therefore did not confirm whether either game could still be claimed. GOG’s official home page describes its digital game storefront, but does not confirm that these particular games are currently included in a giveaway or available in the same promotion. GOG.com.

What the Fortnite offer did—and did not—mean
The Forbes article connected the Stormtrooper outfit to Fortnite’s Galactic Battle season and said players could get it by linking Epic and My Disney accounts. It was a cosmetic reward inside Fortnite, not a free copy of Fortnite or a separate Star Wars game. Those details are specific to the May 2025 report; they should not be read as instructions for a currently active reward.
Was another free Star Wars game confirmed?
No. The May 2025 article speculated that Epic might release another free Star Wars game around May 4, but said the title had not been confirmed. That possibility was a rumor, not an announced giveaway, and the article does not establish that such a release occurred.

What later Star Wars gaming offers tell us
Official StarWars.com coverage shows that later promotions were separate, date-limited events—not proof that the 2025 giveaways stayed active.
- May 2026: StarWars.com described Brawlhalla as free to play on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, PC, and Mac. The same April 30, 2026 coverage listed Star Wars: The Old Republic rewards, including a subscriber reward period and a login reward running May 1–22, 2026. Those reward dates have passed. Star Wars Day 2026 games deals and experiences.
- September 2026: StarWars.com said its National Video Games Day sale on Xbox, Steam, and GOG ran through September 13, 2026. That sale window had ended by October 8, 2026. National Video Games Day Star Wars deals.
These examples include a free-to-play game, time-limited rewards, and a sale. They are not interchangeable: a free-to-play base game is different from a login reward, a subscriber perk, a cosmetic, or a discounted purchase. The cited pages do not establish an October 2026 promotion for the two Prime Gaming games or the Fortnite outfit.

How to judge a “free Star Wars games” offer
Before relying on a promotion, check the official offer page for its end date, what is actually free, eligible platform, account or subscription requirements, and redemption storefront. A time-limited claim should be distinguished from a permanently free-to-play game; a discount is not a free game, and a cosmetic does not grant the underlying game. For the May 2025 offers covered here, the available evidence identifies the original terms but does not verify current redemption.
