Spoilers for the official Episode 2 synopsis. Episode 2 centers on two developments: Frederick takes Clara to the country estate Glanville after an argument and shares some of the hardships of his childhood; meanwhile, the Dunns take in Nell, a mysterious new maid. The available official synopsis confirms these story points, not nine separate reveals.
What happens in Episode 2?
After an argument with Clara, Frederick brings her to Glanville, the country estate. There, he opens up about some of the trials he faced as a child. The episode’s other confirmed plot thread introduces Nell: the Dunns take her in as their new maid, and the official synopsis describes her as mysterious. ITV’s press pack and ITVX episode listing summarize these developments.

Why this recap does not list nine reveals
The title promises nine story reveals, but the official episode summary establishes only these two central developments. A secondary recap published by Telly Visions on January 22, 2024, is not available here in enough detail to verify a complete scene-by-scene account. Without reliable support for additional events, assigning nine separate reveals would risk presenting guesses as plot facts.
Episode listing details
Apple TV’s US listing gives Episode 2 a runtime of 44 minutes and a 2024 release year. Those are platform- and region-specific listing details, not universal metadata; see the Apple TV US episode page. Episode availability may vary by region.
