Blue Bloods returned on October 18, 2024, with “Life Sentence,” Season 14, Episode 11—the midseason premiere of the final season’s remaining episodes. The episode links Erin’s jeopardized prosecution to Eddie’s discovery of a child hiding after her mother’s death, while Frank, Jamie, and the rest of the family face consequential choices of their own.
Erin’s prosecution collapses after a juror’s accusation
Assistant District Attorney Erin Reagan is preparing to prosecute Carlos Ramírez, an Ace Double Treys gang member, when the defense seeks a mistrial. It alleges Erin contacted a juror to influence the verdict. The juror repeats that claim in court, and the judge throws out the case.
Queens District Attorney Evaline Romano begins investigating Erin. Erin turns to her ex-husband, attorney Jack Boyle, to defend her. His work with the juror brings a different explanation: the juror says she lied because her parents were being held hostage in Mexico. In the recap’s account, that revelation leads Romano to stop pursuing Erin.
Eddie and Danny connect Amelia’s father to Ramírez
Officer Eddie Janko-Reagan finds a dead woman and the woman’s daughter, Amelia, hiding in a closet. Eddie and her husband, Jamie, take Amelia in overnight. Later, the child gives Eddie a drawing of a man with an Ace Double Treys tattoo.
