Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum said in February 2025 that “there are plans for Moon Knight down the road.” That confirms Marvel has future plans for the character in a broad sense—not a named return project, a confirmed second season, or a release date. A later comment from Moon Knight creator Jeremy Slater does not change that: he said he had no inside information about the character’s current status.
What Marvel actually said about Moon Knight’s return
In a February 23, 2025 interview with ComicBook.com, Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum said: “I would love to see a Moon Knight Season 2, but there are plans for Moon Knight down the road.” Read the interview report.
The two parts of that quote mean different things. Winderbaum expressed that he would like a second season, then separately said plans exist for Moon Knight. He did not say those plans were for season two, identify another project, or give a timetable. The statement is evidence of Marvel Television’s general intent to use the character again, not confirmation of a particular production.
Is Moon Knight season 2 confirmed?
No. The cited statements do not confirm a second season. Winderbaum’s wording leaves open whether Moon Knight’s next appearance would be in another series or film, a second season, or a different project. No specific live-action project or release date has been announced in these reports.

Has Moon Knight already returned to the MCU?
Oscar Isaac voiced Moon Knight in an episode of the third and final season of Marvel’s animated series What If…?, as the February 2025 report notes. That is an animated voice appearance; it is distinct from Isaac reprising the character in a new live-action story in the main MCU storyline. So it would be inaccurate to say Moon Knight has had no post-series appearance, but that animated role does not confirm a live-action return. The report distinguishes the animated appearance from the live-action question.
What Jeremy Slater’s comments do—and do not—tell us
In a May 4, 2026 interview report, creator and head writer Jeremy Slater described Isaac’s contract this way: “The contract Oscar Isaac signed was very much like, we will do more stories when we find stories that he is creatively excited to tell.” Slater also said Isaac is creatively involved in the character’s future. Slater also explicitly disclaimed current knowledge: “I don’t have any inside information in terms of where the character is. I haven’t talked to Marvel in three years at this point. I don’t know.” He said he would be surprised if fans never saw Moon Knight again, but framed that as his own speculation as a fan—not information from Marvel.
In a separate May 22, 2025 interview, Slater said the decision could involve “as much or as little Moon Knight as Oscar wants to do” and that Kevin Feige would need to find a way to incorporate the character.
