When does DiNozzo return?
CBS lists Season 24, Episode 1, “Wayward Son,” with the date October 6, 2026. That is the episode and date shown on the official page; it does not establish whether DiNozzo appears in that episode, how many episodes Weatherly will appear in, or the full scope of the character’s return.
Why did earlier reports call it a potential return?
On January 21, 2024, ScreenRant reported, in a story reproduced by IMDb News, that Weatherly wanted to reprise DiNozzo and that CBS had not announced return plans at that time. That report described the situation then; it is not the current status. CBS’s current listing confirms Weatherly’s return in Season 24.
