The Devil Wears Prada 2 is no longer just in the works: it opened in U.S. theaters on May 1, 2026, and the current U.S. studio page lists it for streaming on Disney+ and Hulu, as well as digital and Blu-ray purchase. The sequel brings Andy Sachs back to Runway as its features editor, where Miranda Priestly is confronting a changing magazine business. Availability differs by country and format.
What is The Devil Wears Prada 2 about?
Andy Sachs returns to Runway as the magazine’s new features editor. Miranda Priestly is trying to protect the glossy publication’s position as the magazine business changes, while Emily Charlton—once Miranda’s assistant—has become a major figure at a luxury brand. Disney+ describes Andy as more mature and confident when she reunites with Miranda.
The setup brings the former colleagues back into the same professional orbit, with the future of print media and the pressures of luxury fashion shaping the conflict. Meryl Streep described Miranda’s position in a D23 cast feature: “The Devil Wears Prada 2 begins when Miranda is on top of the world, yet at the same time, there’s an earthquake under her feet.” D23 cast feature
