- Product type: PHYSICAL MOVIE
- Brand: Lionsgate
- Justice Smith
- Dominic Sessa
- Ariana Greenblatt
Lionsgate groups all three with the new generation of illusionists. Its principal cast announcement does not identify their character names, so those roles are left unspecified here.
What roles do Rosamund Pike and Morgan Freeman play?
Rosamund Pike plays Veronika Vanderberg, a powerful diamond heiress who becomes the magicians’ target. Lionsgate describes Vanderberg as having ties to arms dealers, traffickers and warlords.

- The Four Horsemen return along with a new generation of illusionists performing mind-melding twists, turns, surprises, and magic unlike anything ever captured on film.
Morgan Freeman returns as Thaddeus. In the studio’s synopsis, he aids the two generations of magicians as they attempt to bring Vanderberg down.
Are other familiar cast members in the film?
Lizzy Caplan is noted by the Associated Press as returning after taking over the role of Lula in the second film, when Fisher did not appear. Caplan is not included in Lionsgate’s principal cast list, so that report supports describing her as a returning performer, not assigning her prominent billing.

Mark Ruffalo appears in Rotten Tomatoes’ cast listing as Dylan Rhodes, but he is absent from Lionsgate’s principal cast announcement. Those sources do not establish his billing or the extent of his involvement, so the database credit should not be treated as confirmation that he is a principal cast member.
