Nix remained in the competition after the April rumor and advanced to the final three. ABC News reported on May 13, 2025, that she was headed to the finale. During Disney Night, she performed Natalie Cole’s “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)” and “You’ll Be in My Heart” from Tarzan. Judge Lionel Richie praised her growing confidence, saying, “I don’t know what has happened, but your confidence has taken a whole new level and vibe. Nix was eliminated in the May 18, 2025, finale and finished third. Jamal Roberts and John Foster advanced to the final two, and Roberts won. ABC7 Los Angeles also reported that host Ryan Seacrest announced 26 million finale votes, more than double the prior year’s finale total.
