Ocean’s 14 appears to be moving ahead, with Brad Pitt saying the group plans to make the film and Julia Roberts confirming she has read a script she likes. But the reunion is not yet accompanied by an announced filming date, release date or detailed plot.
Is Ocean’s 14 actually happening?
Brad Pitt’s latest public comment is the clearest sign yet that the sequel is intended to go forward. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, reported by French outlet Première on September 29, 2026, Pitt said the group was working things out, praised George Clooney’s script and affirmed they would make another film. That is an encouraging statement from a central returning star, not confirmation that production has begun.

Roberts has also said she has read a script. At the 2026 Golden Globes, she told The Daily Beast: “I have seen a script, and I was—I was kind of surprised. ‘Cause I was like, ‘Oh, what is the story gonna be? What could, you know… And it’s good. I mean, we wouldn’t do it if it’s not good.” Her comment, published January 12, 2026, supports the existence of a script, but does not by itself establish that every cast member has signed on.
Which original stars are expected back?
Pitt spoke directly about making the movie in the September 2026 report. Clooney had earlier discussed the possibility of reuniting with Pitt, Roberts, Matt Damon and Don Cheadle; subsequent coverage has described those stars as expected to return. The reporting does not establish that the full group is contractually confirmed.

| Brad Pitt | Pitt said the group was working things out and that they would make the film, as reported by Première on September 29, 2026. |
| Julia Roberts | She said she had read a script and thought it was good, according to The Daily Beast’s January 12, 2026 report. |
| George Clooney | He is associated with the project as a producer in Movie Insider’s January 2, 2026 tracker listing; earlier comments discussed a possible reunion. |
| Matt Damon and Don Cheadle | Named among the possible returning group in Clooney’s earlier comments, with later coverage describing their returns as expected; individual contract confirmations are not established. |
Movie Insider’s January 2, 2026 production-tracker page also listed David Leitch as director, Warner Bros. Pictures and Smoke House Pictures in its production information, and the named stars. Those are tracker listings rather than a new studio announcement, and the page’s status predates Pitt’s September update.
When will filming start, and when will it be released?
No official filming or release date had been announced in Première’s September 29, 2026 report. That is the most recent dated update in the available coverage, so older scheduling estimates should not be treated as a current production calendar.
In October 2025, Clooney told E! News that Warner Bros. had approved a budget and that the remaining issue was setting a start date. He forecast filming in “about nine or 10 months.” Movie Insider later logged an October 2026 hoped-for start based on Clooney’s comments to The Hollywood Reporter. Both were plans or estimates reported before Pitt’s latest comment—not confirmation that cameras started on schedule.

A detailed plot has not been announced in the cited coverage. Movie Insider reported that Clooney had compared the concept to Going in Style and described the crew as older and wiser, but that broad comparison is not a synopsis. There is no established heist, setting or character storyline to report yet.
