These ten 2024 Christmas releases offer different kinds of holiday viewing: romantic comedies, animation, a dance-show spectacle, family fantasy and more. The selection is arranged for variety, not as a definitive ranking. Release information below reflects the 2024 schedules reported by the cited sources; streaming availability can vary by country and change over time.
Netflix picks
Netflix’s 2024 holiday lineup included several films with sharply different premises. The platform descriptions below explain each film’s hook; they are not independent judgments of quality. Netflix’s seasonal lineup is documented on its 2024 holiday page.

1. Meet Me Next Christmas
A Christmas romance for viewers looking for a familiar seasonal love-story setup. Netflix presented it as part of its 2024 holiday offering. The cited lineup does not establish a specific release date, so check the film’s current listing for availability in your region.
2. Hot Frosty
This holiday fantasy turns its central image into the premise: a snowman comes to life. Netflix included the film in its 2024 seasonal lineup, making it a fit for viewers who want a romantic or fantastical holiday story with an intentionally unusual hook.

3. The Merry Gentlemen
For a broader, performance-centered comedy, Netflix’s film revolves around a Christmas-themed all-male dance show. It stands apart from the lineup’s romances by making the holiday spectacle itself the draw.
4. Our Little Secret
Lindsay Lohan and Ian Harding star as exes who discover they are dating siblings and end up spending Christmas together, according to the Associated Press’s November 25, 2024 holiday guide. Lohan told the AP, “It has a lot of heart and it’s very funny and I think that’s what we need in film these days.” That is the star’s view, not a review. Netflix’s lineup also included the film.
5. That Christmas
Netflix’s animated family story is based on a trilogy of children’s books by Richard Curtis. It follows interwoven tales about family and friends, love and loneliness, alongside Santa making a mistake. Curtis wrote and executive-produced the film, directed by Simon Otto. Netflix lists a selected-theater release in the United States on November 27, 2024, followed by streaming on Netflix on December 4. See the official film page for its credits and release details.
Hallmark+ picks
Hallmark+’s 2024 holiday catalog supplies several options for viewers who want romance, family stories or a playful holiday premise. The catalog identified these titles as streaming on Hallmark+ in its 2024 schedule; that historical listing does not guarantee current access in every location.

7. Sugarplummed
A woman’s idealized Christmas wish becomes real in this fantasy-leaning pick. Its wish-fulfillment setup offers a change of pace from stories centered on couples reuniting or falling in love.

8. Scouting for Christmas
A mother teams up with her daughter’s favorite baker. The setup puts family and a community connection at the center, making it a family-oriented choice within Hallmark+’s holiday slate.
9. The Santa Class
A Santa school faces a challenge that could save Christmas. The classroom-and-crisis premise makes this a fit for viewers after a light holiday fantasy built around a group rather than a single romance.

10. Brewster’s Millions: Christmas
The Associated Press described BET+’s holiday release as a Christmas update of the 1985 comedy. That connection gives it a distinct appeal for viewers curious about a seasonal spin on an existing comedy concept. The AP guide also surveyed other 2024 offerings, including OWN’s A Season to Remember, a Disney+ Christmas special and Hallmark+’s Cherry Lane sequels, released December 5, 12 and 19, 2024. Those titles are not included in this ten-film selection.
How to choose what to watch
- For animation and family viewing: try That Christmas.
- For romantic-comedy setups: consider Meet Me Next Christmas or Our Little Secret.
- For a more unusual holiday hook: look at Hot Frosty, The Merry Gentlemen or The Santa Class.
- For family or community stories: consider Scouting for Christmas or Jingle Bell Run.
Because the cited platform schedules describe 2024 releases rather than current catalogs, search the title on the relevant service in your country before planning a watch. The sources here establish Netflix and Hallmark+ as original 2024 homes for the films identified above, and BET+ as the service associated with Brewster’s Millions: Christmas in the AP guide; they do not establish present-day regional availability.
