Blue Lock has two confirmed screen projects with different schedule details: its third TV season is officially titled Blue Lock: Neo Egoist League and is in production, but no broadcast date has been announced in the reviewed official materials. The live-action film, by contrast, was announced for Japanese theaters on August 7, 2026; its official site now describes it as a hit in theaters.
What is confirmed about Blue Lock Season 3?
The official announcement on June 9, 2026 named the third season Blue Lock: Neo Egoist League and released a teaser visual featuring Yoichi Isagi and Michael Kaiser. The official season site lists the series as in production and names Eight Bit as its animation studio. The anime is based on the manga by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura.
The announcement identifies Kazuki Ura as Isagi’s voice actor and Mamoru Miyano as Kaiser’s. These are the anime voice roles, not the actors appearing in the live-action film.

Does Season 3 have a release date?
No broadcast date, streaming service, or episode count appears in the reviewed official season materials. The confirmed status is “in production”; a specific premiere window or platform should not be treated as official unless the anime’s announcements provide one.
When did the live-action Blue Lock movie come out?
Toho announced a Japanese theatrical opening date of August 7, 2026, in its production-event report dated February 7, 2026. That date has passed. The official film site currently describes the movie as a hit in theaters, but that does not establish current showtimes, release outside Japan, or home-video availability.
The movie adapts the central Blue Lock setup: 300 high-school forwards are gathered in a project intended to develop a striker capable of leading Japan to a World Cup victory. The official film materials describe this selection premise; they do not establish that the movie covers a particular anime-season boundary.
Who is in the live-action movie?
The Toho event report names Fumiya Takahashi as Yoichi Isagi, Kaito Sakurai as Meguru Bachira, Kyohei Takahashi as Hyoma Chigiri, and Kouta Nomura as Rensuke Kunigami. They are the live-action actors, distinct from the anime voice cast.
The official film site credits Yusuke Taki as director, Tetsuo Kamata as screenwriter, Daisuke Matsui as soccer supervisor, and CREDEUS as the production company. Ado’s “Monstro” is the theme song; Toho is among the distributors.
See Toho’s production-event report for the film announcement and cast details.

The manga’s premise centers on the Blue Lock project, which brings 300 high-school forwards together to produce a striker for Japan’s World Cup ambitions.
