When did The Equalizer season 4 come out?
The season 4 premiere, “Truth for a Truth,” aired on February 18, 2024, according to CBS’s official episode guide. CBS announced that the season finale would air May 19, 2024, in its season-finale schedule. Season 4 is complete, not awaiting a future release date.

Who returned for season 4?
Queen Latifah leads the cast as Robyn McCall, a former CIA operative who uses her skills to help people with nowhere else to turn. CBS describes the series as a reimagining of the classic crime drama.
CBS’s season 5 renewal announcement named the returning series ensemble: Queen Latifah, Lorraine Toussaint, Tory Kittles, Adam Goldberg, Liza Lapira and Laya DeLeon Hayes. The season 4 episode listing specifically names Latifah, Kittles, Goldberg, Lapira and DeLeon Hayes. Ensemble listings do not mean that every actor appears in every episode.

Is The Equalizer coming back?
No. CBS renewed the drama for season 5 on April 25, 2024, but that was its final season. The CBS series page lists the season 5 finale, “Decisions,” on May 4, 2025. TheWrap reported in May 2025 that CBS had canceled the series after five seasons.
When CBS announced the season 5 renewal, it reported 7.89 million viewers in Nielsen Most Current Data for the season to date and more than 10 million viewers in live-plus-35-day multiplatform viewership. Those are historical figures reported by CBS in April 2024, not current audience estimates. CBS also described the series as its number-one entertainment program among African American viewers for the reporting period cited in that announcement; that is the network’s characterization, not an independent or current ranking.

Where can you watch The Equalizer?

The season 4 finale aired on May 19, 2024; CBS announced the season 5 renewal on April 25, 2024. Season 5 followed, with its finale listed for May 4, 2025. The series’ completed run therefore consists of five seasons, rather than a pending season 4 or an announced sixth season.
