He was unmasked in the Season 13 finale, which aired May 7, 2025. The clues pointed most clearly to an athlete who became a musician and later moved from a successful partnership to a solo career.
When was Mad Scientist Monster unmasked?
Kelley was revealed during the May 7, 2025 finale of The Masked Singer Season 13. FOX’s official episode listing identifies the broadcast as Season 13, Episode 13, the finale; LiveNOW from FOX reported the reveal.
The finale included four unmaskings. The completed season means earlier guesses should be read as predictions made before the reveal, not as current uncertainty about the contestant’s identity.
How the clues pointed to Brian Kelley
From athlete to singer
The clue package described a promising start in one field, interest from scouts, a setback that sidelined the contestant, and a turn toward a new direction. In a pre-finale analysis, TVLine connected that athlete-to-singer story to Kelley’s college baseball and professional scouting background. That is a retrospective interpretation of the package, rather than proof that every clue line was a precise biographical statement.

- 【MATERIAL】 100% natural latex (environmental and non-toxic). Advanced manufacturing technology.
- 【WRINKEL】 The small packaging box may cause slight deformation on the mask, just use something to hold the mask open to let it recover its shape.
- 【SIGHT】 See through the eyeholes, nostrils or mouth. If you can't see out, just enlarge the existing holes or dig new holes to improve the sight.
- 【ODOR 】When you open the package for the first time, you will smell something. Don't worry, it's the odor of natural latex. Just put the mask on ventilated place, the smell will disperse. NOTE: this mask is not for children under 3 years old.
From a duo to a solo career
The contestant’s narration described a successful partnership ending when its members wanted different things, followed by a decision to go alone. Read alongside the reveal, the thread fits Kelley’s career with Florida Georgia Line and his later solo work. What to Watch’s retrospective chronology also records the finalist discussing the group’s parting and a solo path.
The ship clue and “Cruise”
TVLine interpreted a ship reference as a nod to Florida Georgia Line’s 2012 song “Cruise.” That is a plausible wordplay reading, not an explanation confirmed by the show. The distinction matters: a prop or pun can support an identity after the fact without uniquely proving it.

Relationship and panel clues
The clue chronology describes meeting a future spouse at a Friendsgiving gathering and reconnecting later. Those details belong to the show’s clue narration; they are not independently verified here. The contestant also said he was not Keith Urban but had shared a stage with him. In the semi-finals, a clue addressed Robin Thicke and referred to something stolen in 2013. The available account does not establish what that reference meant, so it should not be treated as a solved biographical clue.
The award clue
A T-shirt referenced having won the same award as the Backstreet Boys and BTS. The account of the clue does not identify the award with enough certainty to name it, so assigning a specific award would go beyond what the clue record supports.
