Adelaide group G-Nat!on performed 5 Seconds of Summer’s “Teeth” in a 2021 blind audition for The Voice Australia. PerthNow reported that all four coaches turned their chairs by the first chorus, and the six members chose Rita Ora as their coach.
Who was G-Nat!on?
PerthNow described G-Nat!on as a six-member girl group from Adelaide. Its report, published on 22 August 2021, listed the members and their ages at that time: Taylah, 18; Isla, 17; Mateja, 16; Rylee, 17; Alessia, 17; and Emma, 18. Those ages refer to 2021, not their current ages. PerthNow’s report also characterized the group as the biggest ever to audition on the show, but did not provide a comparative count or method for that claim.

How did the group prepare for the audition?
According to PerthNow, the members had formed three years before the audition after training together at the Australian Company of Performing Arts. Isla said the time together helped them understand each member’s performance qualities and develop their blend and harmonies before entering the competition.
“We definitely took three years to get to know each other, understand each girl’s performance qualities, work on our blend and work on our harmonies before we wanted to take on a show like The Voice, because obviously you want to put your best foot forward,” Isla told PerthNow.
