The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Direct took place on November 12, 2025, and premiered the film’s official trailer. It was a movie presentation, not a games update: Nintendo said no game information would be included.
When was The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Direct?
Nintendo’s official Direct archive dates the presentation to November 12, 2025, and describes it as featuring the world premiere of the movie’s official trailer. Nintendo’s Direct archive
The event had been announced two days earlier. Nintendo Wire reported on November 10, 2025, that Nintendo shared the announcement through the Nintendo Today! app and scheduled the movie-focused Direct for Wednesday, November 12. Nintendo Wire’s announcement report
Did the presentation include game news?
No. A November 12 report by GIGAZINE reproduced Nintendo’s announcement as saying the presentation would not include game information. The report gives this English rendering: “We will be releasing the world’s first trailer, so please take a look if you’d like. Please note that this does not include any game information.” It is a reproduced translation, not a verification of the original Japanese wording. GIGAZINE’s report on the presentation
