Maxxine Dupri’s brother, Wyatt, died in a car crash in 2017, according to reports about Dupri’s account. Her uncle was also in the vehicle and later died. Years afterward, Dupri said she proposed a WWE storyline reference to her brother as a meaningful way to acknowledge him—not as an insult or an attack on her family.
Who was Maxxine Dupri’s brother?
Reports identify Dupri’s older brother as Wyatt. He died in a 2017 car crash. Her uncle was also involved and, according to one account of Dupri’s interview, died after spending several months in a coma.
The detailed account comes from ClutchPoints’ March 11, 2026 report on Dupri’s appearance on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive. ClutchPoints says Wyatt had adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD), a rare genetic condition, and could not drive. It reports that he and his uncle had taken a Lyft after getting matching tattoos; the driver missed their home, attempted a U-turn, and pulled into the path of another vehicle. The report says Wyatt died at the scene.
Those circumstances should be understood as ClutchPoints’ account of Dupri’s interview, not as independently verified crash or medical findings. The source page was inaccessible, and the reporting available here did not include an official crash record or a direct transcript of the interview about the collision. SE Scoops also reports that Wyatt died in a 2017 car crash, but does not supply the same level of detail.

Why was her brother mentioned in a WWE storyline?
During a March 2024 Raw tag team match, Candice LeRae reportedly taunted Dupri by referring to her late brother. In a November 2025 interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Dupri said the idea to include the reference had been hers. The planned action required her to leave the ring, and she wanted a reason for her character to do so.
Dupri said she saw the moment as a chance to acknowledge someone central to her life, not as a slight. As she put it: “To me, it felt like a positive; I get to bring light to the fact that I have a brother.” She also described the moment as an acknowledgment of someone who was her “whole world” and had passed away.

How did Dupri feel about the moment?
Dupri said the reference felt positive to her because it brought attention to her brother and affirmed that he was not forgotten. Wrestling Inc. reported her describing the experience as “almost like healing in a weird way”; that phrase is a secondary transcription of her interview.

No. This account concerns Dupri’s real-life brother, Wyatt. The WWE reference in the 2024 match was about her late brother; it should not be confused with the fictional sibling relationship associated with LA Knight’s former Max Dupri character.
