Those are contrasting, attributed accounts, not proof of a mutual romance.
What happens in the crossover episode?
“Momtoks and Mormons, Oh My!” is listed as Vanderpump Villa season 2, episode 3. Apple TV lists its release date as April 24, 2025, runtime as 51 minutes, and rating as 14+. Its episode listing says the Mormon Wives arrive at the castle, where Sam and Marciano are especially intrigued; an innocent drinking game ends in hurt feelings and deception.
That summary describes the produced episode. It is not independent verification of what happened privately or how each person understood the interactions.
Which Mormon Wives stars appear?
The five guests named by The Independent are Jessi Ngatikaura, Demi Engemann, Jennifer Affleck, Mikayla Matthews, and Layla Taylor. The visit fits a larger season 2 storyline: Hulu’s guide describes the Italy trip as a major thread of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

Who has the “instant connection” with Marciano?
The headline’s phrase refers to Marciano Brunette’s expressed interest in Demi Engemann. The Independent reports that Brunette said in a confessional that he felt an instant physical and emotional connection. It also reports that he took Engemann aside and quotes him telling her, “I wanna get to know you.” The same account says Engemann offered him relationship advice.
That is Brunette’s characterization of the interaction, not evidence that Engemann shared his feelings. In comments reported by Marie Claire, Engemann said, “Nothing happened with Marciano,” and said she was not attracted to him. She also said she had been friendly while married, was wearing her wedding ring, and had brought up her marriage. Those are her public account of the encounter; the statements do not independently establish private intent or conduct.

What does MomTok mean?
Hulu describes MomTok as a TikTok community of mothers who post about motherhood and related parts of their lives, including parenting, fashion, makeup, and social activities. Hulu says the group began making videos in 2020 and describes The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives as following a prominent Utah circle of MomTokers. Its guide to MomTok gives the term its fuller context.
Is the later Jessi Ngatikaura story the same storyline?
No. A separate claim involving Brunette and Ngatikaura emerged in coverage of the season’s ending. Vanity Fair reported on May 16, 2025, that Brunette alleged he and Ngatikaura made out at TomTom, and that Engemann and Ngatikaura sidestepped his claim. That later allegation is distinct from the Demi–Brunette interaction in “Momtoks and Mormons, Oh My!” and should not be used to treat the two storylines as one event.
