Marvel Studios released a new Deadpool & Wolverine trailer on April 22, 2024, alongside two posters. It was the film’s second major trailer: the first debuted during the Super Bowl on February 12. Watch the official Deadpool & Wolverine trailer through Disney’s announcement.
Which official trailer is this?
The trailer announced on April 22, 2024, came later in the film’s promotional campaign; it was not the Super Bowl debut. Disney’s announcement identifies it as a new trailer and includes two posters. Its release is the clearest way to distinguish it from the earlier teaser.

The first trailer debuted during the Super Bowl on February 12, 2024, according to Disney UK Press. The Associated Press later reported that the February trailer drew 365 million online views in its first 24 hours. That figure belongs to the Super Bowl trailer, not the April release.
What makes the April trailer worth watching?
The straightforward appeal is the pairing at the center of the film: Ryan Reynolds returns as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. The April trailer is an official Marvel Studios release, rather than a fan edit or an unofficial upload, and Disney’s announcement places it alongside the film’s two posters.
#1 Best Overall
- Marvel Studios presents their most significant mistake yet. His days as Deadpool behind him, a listless Wade Wilson toils away in civilian life. But when his homeworld is threatened, he reluctantly suits up as he tries to convince Wolverine? oh hell, just watch. Warning: Some flashing-lights scenes in this film may affect photosensitive viewers.
Calling the trailer “awesome” is a matter of taste, not an official claim. Director Shawn Levy offered a useful frame for the film’s approach in an interview with the Associated Press: “This movie is built for entertainment, with no obligation to come prepared with prior research.” He also said, “There was no way I was going to reinvent a wheel, a tonal wheel, that works so beautifully.” Those comments describe the film’s intended approach; they are not a review of the April trailer.
Who directed the film, and who is in the cast?
Shawn Levy directed Deadpool & Wolverine. Disney’s April announcement lists Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Matthew Macfadyen among the cast.

When did the film open?
Disney’s movie page lists a July 25, 2024 release date and an 18+ rating for that page’s territory. The Associated Press reported a July 26 U.S. opening. These dates reflect different regional listings, and the rating should not be read as a universal classification.
