Public-facing sources associate Ryan Reynolds with New York, but they do not confirm his exact current residence. Reports about homes in the New York area are not proof of current occupancy, and Reynolds reportedly disputed a claim that he bought a home near Wrexham, Wales.
Where is Ryan Reynolds based?
The Paley Center for Media describes Reynolds as living in New York, while the Television Academy has described him as based there. Those biographical descriptions support a broad New York connection; neither confirms a specific, current primary residence. Paley Center for Media · Television Academy
What is known about his reported homes?
An April 2025 Architectural Digest overview recounts properties associated with Reynolds and Blake Lively in the New York area and says the couple still own their New York City property. That is secondary reporting about their property history, not a land-record check or confirmation that they currently live in any particular home. The article does not establish a complete, current property inventory or occupancy. Architectural Digest
Did Ryan Reynolds buy a house near Wrexham?
Do not treat the reported purchase as established. A story claimed Reynolds and Lively bought a £1.5 million home near Wrexham, but Herald.Wales reported Reynolds disputing it: “There was an article that said I’d bought a home over there, but that was not accurate at all.” The £1.5 million figure belongs to the disputed media claim; it is not a verified sale price or evidence of a completed purchase. Why is he so closely linked to Wrexham?
Reynolds is a co-owner of Wrexham AFC and has made frequent visits connected with the club. That connection helps explain headlines and public speculation, but it does not show that he resides in Wales. ITV’s headline quotes him saying, “I live, breathe, eat and sleep Wrexham”; in context, the remark described his relationship with the football club, not his home address. The Associated Press likewise covered his connection to Wrexham through club ownership and the series. ITV News Wales · Associated Press

- Broad location: public-facing biographies associate Reynolds with New York.
- Reported property history: Architectural Digest describes New York-area homes linked to the couple, including a New York City property it says they still own.
- Wales purchase: the reported Wrexham-area purchase was disputed by Reynolds, according to Herald.Wales.
- Private residence: the sources do not establish his exact current address, which reported homes he currently occupies, or a definitive present-day property list.
That distinction matters: a report about ownership or a public biography about someone’s base does not by itself establish where they currently live. No precise address is needed to answer the public question, and publishing one would intrude on private residential details.
