Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man was scheduled to open in select theaters on March 6, 2026, and to premiere globally on Netflix on March 20, 2026. Those dates have passed; the announcement reported a two-week gap between the theatrical opening and streaming premiere.
When did The Immortal Man come out?
TheWrap reported on December 5, 2025, that Netflix had announced the film’s release schedule. The theatrical date was for select theaters, not a confirmed nationwide rollout in every market. The streaming premiere was described as global, but that announcement does not establish the film’s current availability in every region.

What is the film about?
The feature-length continuation of Peaky Blinders returns to Tommy Shelby, played by Cillian Murphy. Its reported setting is Birmingham in 1940, during World War II. The story pulls Tommy out of self-imposed exile as he confronts his past and the stakes for his family and country.
Murphy described his return to the role this way: “It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me.” Writer and creator Steven Knight said of the wartime premise: “The country is at war, and so, of course, are our Peaky Blinders.”

The television series’ sixth and final season premiered on Netflix in 2022. The Immortal Man continues that story as a feature film. Separately, TheWrap reported an October BBC/Netflix order for a subsequent two-season Peaky Blinders series set in 1950s Birmingham after the film; that is a separate follow-up, not part of the movie’s release schedule.
