There is no single documented beauty routine followed by every Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. What the official audition guidance says
For online auditions, the current Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders audition site encourages candidates to wear makeup that complements their natural beauty and hair down in a contemporary style. An older Dallas Cowboys FAQ offers more detail: it recommends mostly matte eyeshadow with little shimmer, lashes that are not overly solid or long, vibrant neutral cheek and lip tones, and restrained contouring and highlighting. It advises choosing a warm spray tan rather than an orange-toned one, and wearing hair down in a current style that suits the candidate without hiding her face. One cheerleader’s skin prep and long-wear makeup
In a November 2025 interview with Good Housekeeping, DCC veteran Ariel Brumfield describes skincare as the foundation of her makeup look: “I’m a huge believer that skincare is the foundation of a good makeup look.” She says she starts with a double cleanse, then uses Charlotte Tilbury Glow Toner, Magic Serum, Charlotte’s Magic Cream and Hollywood Instant Eye Revival Patches.

For makeup longevity, Brumfield says she applies Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray between liquid and powder products, then again at the end. Hair and makeup for an outdoor holiday performance
In Allure’s December 2025 video about the Christmas Extravaganza, one cheerleader says she washes, blow-dries and curls her hair the night before because the curls hold better while she dances. Another describes curling her hair, letting the curls set while she does her makeup, then brushing them out. They are different personal approaches, not a team-wide rule.

The performers also discuss adapting to the outdoor winter setting: one says she needs extra hydration and has more freedom with makeup for that event. What game-day touch-ups look like
Vogue’s November 2024 report captures a halftime locker-room rush rather than a complete routine. Cheerleaders use hot tools to curl, dry and tease their hair, apply hairspray, and touch up foundation and powder before returning to the field. The scene shows the practical challenge of maintaining a camera-ready look amid intense activity and limited time; it is not a step-by-step regimen to copy. Vogue’s story describes the particular game as drawing 80,000 people in the stadium and 17 million television viewers, figures for that event rather than general audience averages. How to interpret the different routines
- Audition: Follow the current official advice on natural-looking makeup and contemporary, face-framing hair; the older FAQ supplies additional styling suggestions.
- Performance preparation: Individual accounts show options such as styling curls the night before or letting them set during makeup.
- Game day: Vogue’s report shows quick touch-ups under time pressure, not a universal sequence.
- Weather and personal needs: The outdoor holiday performers discuss extra hydration, while individual skin and hair preferences differ.
A Cowboys-published beauty feature also contains older personal suggestions, including a quick everyday look with tinted moisturizer, mineral powder, coral blush, mascara and lip balm, as well as a preference for lip gloss. It recommends washing the face before bed and exfoliating once or twice weekly, but the page warns that its reproduced content may be incomplete or contain faulty links.
