In the representative’s account, Swift had not visited the set, had no role in casting or creative decisions, and had not watched the film until after its release. The representative said her connection to the production was permission to use her song “My Tears Ricochet.” Those are statements from Swift’s representative, not findings by a court.
When was the subpoena withdrawn?

TheWrap also reported that Judge Lewis Liman struck from the docket a letter containing an extortion accusation, saying it was irrelevant to an issue before the court and intended to promote scandal. That reported docket action was separate from the withdrawal of the subpoenas.
Did Taylor Swift later agree to a deposition?
A later dispute about a possible deposition was not the same as the withdrawn May subpoenas. On September 12, 2025, the Associated Press reported that Swift’s lawyer, J. Douglas Baldridge, said she had not agreed to a deposition and maintained that she had no material role in the action. AP described scheduling and the possibility of a deposition if she were compelled to attend, but its report did not establish that Swift ultimately gave one.

What happened next in the Lively–Baldoni case?
The legal case continued after the subpoena was withdrawn. Lively and Baldoni announced a settlement on May 4, 2026, avoiding the scheduled trial, the Associated Press reported. On August 26, 2026, Judge Liman awarded Lively just over $400,000 toward legal costs; AP reported that she had sought $8 million.
These later developments are distinct from the May 2025 subpoena withdrawal. They provide the subsequent case context, rather than changing what happened to Swift’s subpoena.
