What has been reported about custody proceedings?
Custody proceedings concerning Ever were active during 2026, and public reports describe developments at different points in the case. Those dated accounts should not be treated as a single, current parenting schedule.
April 7: temporary supervised visits reported
The Associated Press reported that a Utah court commissioner limited Paul to supervised visits with Ever as a stopgap pending another hearing. The AP also described competing allegations and arguments from the parties’ lawyers; those accounts are not the same as findings by the court. Commissioner Russell Minas said, “I have concerns going both ways,” referring to the competing allegations (Associated Press, April 7, 2026).

April 30: mutual protective orders
In a later report, the AP said Minas granted mutual protective orders requiring Paul and Mortensen to stay 100 feet apart for three years while custody planning continued. The report quoted Minas saying violence had occurred “both ways between these parties” and that the parents should shield their child from conflict (Associated Press, April 30, 2026).
July: child-welfare agency filing
Us Weekly reported on July 18 that Utah’s Division of Child and Family Services had sought protective supervision for all three children. The article also reported Paul’s response and a separate statement from the fathers’ attorneys. The request was an agency filing, not a final adjudication (Us Weekly, July 18, 2026).

September: anonymous-source report on parenting time
On September 16, TMZ reported, citing unnamed sources, that parenting time had been reduced to eight hours a week following alleged failed tests. The report did not clearly identify the substances and included a denial from sources close to Paul that information had been leaked. Because this account relies on anonymous sourcing rather than a confirmed court document, it does not establish the operative schedule (TMZ, September 16, 2026).

No. The latest available public account of a specific parenting-time schedule is TMZ’s September report based on unnamed sources. The exact schedule in effect on October 8, 2026, is not confirmed in the cited reporting. The earlier court-reported schedules are dated developments, not proof that those terms remain in force.
