Which chart had eight Taylor Swift songs?
Gary Trust’s Oct. 31, 2022 report lists eight Swift songs in Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. top 10 for the chart week of Oct. 21–27, 2022. The report does not establish that eight songs were in Spotify’s own global chart. Billboard’s reported result is the one supported by the available chart account.

Swift’s positions on the two Billboard Global charts
The Global 200 covers worldwide activity; Global Excl. U.S. covers activity outside the United States. In the same tracking week, Swift had eight entries in the latter chart’s top 10 and nine in the former.

The positions and song entries in the table are from Gary Trust’s Oct. 31, 2022 report; the two non-Swift positions on Global Excl. U.S. are shown as “Not Taylor Swift” because the report’s listed Swift entries account for eight of that chart’s ten places. The Global 200’s non-Swift No. 6 entry was “Unholy.”
Why Billboard’s figures are not Spotify figures
Billboard’s Global charts combine activity across services and sales, rather than reporting a single platform’s streams. The methodology described in the chart account draws on official subscription and ad-supported audio and video streams, plus download sales from full-service digital retailers; direct-to-consumer site sales are excluded. Luminate compiled activity from more than 200 territories for the charts, which began in September 2020. The report’s chart-method description identifies these as Billboard measures, not Spotify-only totals.

For the Oct. 21–27 tracking week, Billboard reported 141.9 million global streams and 20,700 downloads for “Anti-Hero” on the Global 200. On Global Excl. U.S., the song had 83.3 million streams and 7,000 downloads. Those are chart-reported figures and should not be presented as Spotify stream counts.

The “eight songs” count matches Billboard Global Excl. U.S. for the week after Midnights came out. It does not, on the evidence in the Oct. 31 report, substantiate a claim about Spotify’s Global Top 10. The distinction matters: Billboard’s worldwide chart had nine Swift songs in its top 10, while its chart excluding the U.S. had eight.
