The “fresh” Solo Leveling Season 2 trailer was a September 2024 announcement, not a new 2026 release. Reported during Aniplex Online Fest 2024, it included previously unseen scenes featuring Sung Jinwoo and appeared alongside the season’s key visual. The season, officially titled Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow-, later premiered on January 4, 2025.
What the September 2024 trailer announcement covered
A September 19, 2024 report relayed by IMDb News from CBR said Solo Leveling opened the anime proceedings at Aniplex Online Fest 2024 with a new Season 2 trailer. The report described previously unseen footage of Sung Jinwoo and the season key visual. It also said Japanese voice actors Taito Ban, who voices Jinwoo, and Reina Ueda, who voices Cha Hae-in, sent a message. The report did not provide the message’s wording, so there is no direct quotation to reproduce. Read the report relayed by IMDb News.
That report is secondary coverage of the trailer announcement. A separate listing on the Anime Expo 2024 schedule names a July 5 panel with Taito Ban, English voice actor Aleks Le, and A-1 Pictures producer Atsushi Kaneko. It was a different event and does not independently confirm the Aniplex Online Fest trailer.
Season 2’s title and release date
The official subtitle is -Arise from the Shadow-. Aniplex gave January 4, 2025, as the Japanese broadcast start, and Crunchyroll identified that date as the season’s debut on its service. Both dates are historical: Season 2 has already premiered. Aniplex’s official series page lists the season, while Crunchyroll’s release guide confirms its service debut.

Don’t confuse the September preview with the later trailer
The September event preview is distinct from the official Season 2 trailer published by Crunchyroll’s verified YouTube channel on December 21, 2024. That later video was released after the Aniplex Online Fest report; it is not the same trailer announcement. Crunchyroll’s verified YouTube channel.
