No confirmed connection has been announced. “Spider-Man: King in Black” was an unverified title rumor reported in October 2024; Sony now lists Tom Holland’s fourth Spider-Man film as Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Venom: The Last Dance introduces Knull and leaves story possibilities open, but that is not confirmation that Venom or Knull appears in the new Spider-Man film.
What did the Spider-Man 4 title leak say?
On October 3, 2024, BGR reported that leaker Cryptic HD QUALITY said the movie “might be titled Spider-Man: King in Black.” The wording was tentative, and BGR treated it as an unverified leak—not an official title announcement or a confirmed plot reveal. The phrase also prompted speculation about a connection to Venom and Knull, but the rumor itself did not establish one. BGR’s report

In its October 25, 2024 post-credit analysis, TIME reports that Knull sends a xenophage after Eddie and Venom, and that Venom appears to sacrifice himself to keep Knull imprisoned. TIME says the post-credit scenes leave possible future storylines open. Those threads can support fan theories, but they do not show that Spider-Man: Brand New Day will continue them. TIME’s post-credit-scene analysis
Why earlier crossover hints are not proof
TIME’s review notes a multiverse-related post-credit link between the Venom films and Spider-Man: No Way Home, while characterizing it as a limited connection rather than substantial shared-story setup. A prior crossover-adjacent tease does not confirm a new crossover. TIME’s review
