No Doctor Doom cameo in Spider-Man: Brand New Day has been confirmed by the official sources reviewed. Marvel has announced Robert Downey Jr. as Doom in Avengers: Doomsday, but that separate casting announcement does not establish that the character appears in the Spider-Man film.
What is confirmed about Spider-Man 4?
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the official title of the fourth film featuring Tom Holland as Spider-Man. Sony lists its theatrical release as July 31, 2026, and says the film became available digitally through major retailers on October 6, 2026. Sony’s official film page does not announce Doctor Doom as a cast member or cameo.
Where Doctor Doom is confirmed to appear
Disney announced that Robert Downey Jr. would return in a new role as Doctor Doom for Avengers: Doomsday. Its 2024 announcement and 2026 Comic-Con announcements identify Doom with that Avengers film; neither announcement confirms a role for him in Brand New Day.
How to read the cameo speculation
A recent GamesRadar report dated October 7, 2026 discusses a possible connection between Brand New Day and wider MCU events. It presents the connection as speculation, not confirmation that Doom appears in the film. A theory based on comments, story connections, or the order of MCU releases is not the same as an announcement from Sony or Marvel.
What would count as confirmation?
The useful distinction is between an official appearance announcement and an inference. Sony’s film page is the direct official reference for Brand New Day; Disney’s Doom announcements name Avengers: Doomsday. Until Sony or Marvel directly confirms Doom’s involvement in the Spider-Man movie, the cameo remains unconfirmed.
