When is Silo season 4 filming?
Apple’s reviewed announcements do not state when season 4 is filming, when production began, or when it will finish. The July 2027 premiere date does not establish a filming schedule. Until Apple or another reliable source provides production dates, the filming timeline is unconfirmed.
What is season 3 about?
Apple describes season 3 as combining the ongoing story of the underground society with an origin story set centuries earlier. In the present-day storyline, Juliette Nichols survives her forced “cleaning” and returns with memory loss as the silo faces a new threat after rebellion. The earlier timeline follows journalist Helen Drew and Congressman Daniel Keene as they uncover a conspiracy.
Apple describes the fictional underground society as consisting of 10,000 people. That figure refers to the series’ setting, not a real-world population statistic. Further details are in Apple’s season 3 announcement.

That renewal announcement is available from Apple TV Press.

Silo is based on Hugh Howey’s dystopian novel trilogy. The books are the source material for the television adaptation; reading them is optional background for viewers, not a substitute for the show’s season 3 episodes or a guide to season 4’s filming schedule.
