What Kody Brown said he regrets
In remarks from a PEOPLE exclusive interview in September 2024, Brown reflected on the end of his marriages to Meri, Janelle and Christine. A PEOPLE report syndicated by Yahoo on January 6, 2025, quoted him saying: “There’s even the regret of the divorce — Meri, Janelle and Christine — those divorces and being angry during those divorces.” He added: “Sure, I regret that stuff.” The Yahoo/PEOPLE report retold the remarks in connection with an episode discussion of his ended relationships with his former wives.

What “only regret” does—and does not—mean
The quoted comments support a narrow reading: Brown expressed regret about the divorces and his anger during them. They do not show that he called this his sole regret across all aspects of his family life. The wording in the accessible report is “regret of the divorce,” so the broader “only regret” framing should not be treated as a complete inventory of his feelings.
Related family tension over Coyote Pass
A separate September 20, 2024 PEOPLE episode preview concerned a disagreement between Brown and Janelle about the family’s Coyote Pass property in Flagstaff. Brown was quoted saying, “We will pay off the property when the time comes and I’m not giving you any details about what I’m doing or whatever because I’m tired of disclosing information that goes through the gossip mill of our broken family.” The AOL/PEOPLE report presents the exchange from the show; it does not independently resolve the property dispute.

A later comment about moving to Europe
In a January 2025 episode, Brown said, “I got an itch to move so bad, just to get away from the energy of it all,” while discussing the idea of moving to Europe. The January report says he has 18 children and places the remark amid family tension. It reports a thought he expressed, not a completed move.
