What did Selena Gomez say before the release?
ABC News reproduced the caption accompanying Gomez’s Instagram tease: “I want to be the first one on your mind when you wake up.” It also quoted her post about making the track and video: “Seriously had the BEST time making this song and video with these two!” The first line was presented as caption text, not as an interview quote. Is this a new 2026 announcement?
No new Gomez–Abrams track announcement is established by the reporting cited here. The matching story is historical: it concerns the song’s February 2025 release and Gomez’s earlier Instagram tease. It should not be read as confirmation of another collaboration.
