In the bridal suite, Swift sits beside Gomez and films her in her wedding look. As Gomez laughs, Swift reacts, “Are you even serious?” then, “What? Look at her. Oh my God! Oh my God!” Gomez replies, “I’m so happy. I’m getting married. Finally!” ABC News reported the exchange.

The carousel also showed the friends hugging beneath string lights and sharing chilled drinks. Its final slide was a screenshot of Swift’s song “The Fate of Ophelia,” according to Rolling Stone.
Why Gomez shared the photos
Gomez dedicated the post to Swift’s album The Life of a Showgirl. Rolling Stone transcribed Gomez’s caption as: “In honor of SHOWGIRL .. blessed to have you by my side almost 20 years later gator! I love you @taylorswift forever and always.” That wording reflects Gomez’s own description of their friendship.

Gomez and Blanco married in Santa Barbara, California, on September 27, 2025, according to the Associated Press and ABC News. Gomez’s Taylor-focused post appeared on October 6, 2025; Rolling Stone published its report the following day.

In remarks from a SiriusXM interview reported by ABC News, Swift called Gomez “not just the most beautiful bride, just, like, the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen,” and added, “Just so happy, and she deserves it so much.”

Marie Claire identified Swift’s ceremony dress as Oscar de la Renta Pre-Spring 2026 and reported that she also wore a dark-blue Maticevski gown.
