Who stars in it, and who directed it?
Nicholas Stoller directed the film. Witherspoon plays Margot, Ferrell plays Jim, and Geraldine Viswanathan plays Jenni. Apple TV’s cast listing also includes Meredith Hagner, Jimmy Tatro, Stony Blyden, Leanne Morgan and Rory Scovel.

In its January 29, 2025 review, the Associated Press said the pairing of Witherspoon’s and Ferrell’s comic personas worked well enough, while describing the plot as predictable and strongly shaped by the wedding-feud setup. That is the AP reviewer’s assessment, not a consensus or audience score.
