Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteSix names stand out as a defensible shortlist of QPR’s most famous fans: Pete Doherty, Ian Gillan, Robert Smith, Mick Jones, Bill Bailey and Nick Cave. This is an editorial selection, not an official club ranking: the available evidence for Doherty and Gillan is stronger and more recent than for the other four.
How this shortlist was chosen
There is no authoritative QPR ranking of celebrity supporters. These six are selected from a larger reported pool on the basis of public recognition and a documented connection to the club. The evidence does not establish that they outrank every other QPR supporter in fame or devotion, nor does it measure how often they attend matches.
The six famous QPR fans
1. Pete Doherty
The singer associated with The Libertines and Babyshambles has the clearest official endorsement on this list. In its 7 November 2025 announcement for a charity football event at Loftus Road, QPR described Doherty as a “lifelong Rangers fan.” His appearance at that event is not, by itself, evidence of regular match attendance. QPR’s announcement.
2. Ian Gillan
Deep Purple singer Ian Gillan is another well-supported name. A feature published by Louder on 14 August 2026 describes him as a lifelong QPR supporter and mentions his pride in scoring in a charity match. Louder’s feature on Gillan.

4. Mick Jones
The Clash musician is also named in the compiled supporter list. No further detail about his QPR connection is established in the source used for this shortlist.

Other names associated with QPR
The compiled list includes other possible celebrity supporters, among them Glen Matlock, Michael Gove, Alan Johnson, Martin Clunes, Louis Theroux and Alex Tudor. Their presence in a larger reported pool is one reason to treat this six as an editorial shortlist rather than a definitive ranking.

QPR’s own 2025 announcement provides direct club confirmation of Doherty’s lifelong support. Gillan is described as a lifelong supporter in a 2026 Louder feature. The other four names come from a compiled secondary list, which identifies them as supporters but does not, on its own, verify the depth or recency of their connection. No credible statistic or poll ranks QPR’s celebrity fans.
