That is a historical announcement—not confirmation that Telenor still offers the service or billing option today.
What Telenor announced in 2019
A report published on 22 April 2019 said Telenor Pakistan had partnered with STARZ PLAY by Cinepax. It described the arrangement as available to prepaid and postpaid users, with payment through Telenor mobile balance. The report does not establish current availability, subscription prices, billing rules, or cancellation terms. Teleco Alert’s 22 April 2019 report.
STARZ PLAY by Cinepax was a Pakistani subscription video-on-demand service created through a joint venture between Cinepax and STARZ PLAY. Their launch announcement described a catalogue spanning Hollywood films and series, Pakistani favorites, Bollywood titles, documentaries, and children’s programming. STARZ PLAY’s joint-venture announcement.
What the streaming service included
The joint-venture launch materials promoted Hollywood blockbusters, box sets, premium series, documentaries, children’s entertainment, and Pakistani content. They also described viewing on phones and computers and registration of up to five devices for a subscription. These are launch-era descriptions, not verified current catalogue or account terms.

What is—and is not—known about Telenor access now
The available sources do not verify that Telenor Pakistan remains a STARZPLAY billing partner in 2026. A STARZPLAY partner page identifies a Ufone subscription route, but that does not confirm Telenor availability. STARZPLAY’s partner page.

In practical terms, treat Telenor mobile-balance billing as a reported 2019 option rather than a current offer. The historical report does not provide a current price, renewal schedule, cancellation method, or eligibility rules. Confirm any operator billing option directly with Telenor and STARZPLAY before authorizing a charge.
Do not confuse the Telenor report with Jazz’s launch offer
Jazz’s company announcement in October 2018 described its own launch-era terms: weekly and monthly in-app price points, a month of free access for Jazz customers, and payment by Jazz mobile balance. Those terms applied to Jazz at that time; they do not establish Telenor pricing or a present-day offer. Jazz’s 7 October 2018 announcement.

What the companies said at launch
In the joint-venture announcement, STARZ PLAY co-founder and CEO Maaz Sheikh called the launch the company’s first outside the MENA region and said it would raise its potential consumer reach “from 350 million to over 500 million.” That was a forward-looking company estimate of potential reach, not a measured audience result.
Cinepax Group chairman Arif Baigmohamad said the partnership would build on Cinepax’s movie business and let customers stream content across different devices. Both statements describe the companies’ aims at launch, not evidence of later audience growth or current service terms.
