When did Vince Neil have a stroke?
In a September 2025 interview with Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist John Katsilometes, Neil said the stroke happened while he was asleep on Christmas night 2024. He said he realized the next morning that his left arm and leg were not working normally. The Independent also reported the disclosure on September 12, 2025, and Variety summarized the interview on September 15.

What did Neil say about his symptoms and recovery?
Neil described the event bluntly: “I had a stroke.” He also said, “My whole left side went out.” He told the Review-Journal that he had to relearn how to walk: “I had to learn to walk again, and that was tough.” He said doctors initially did not expect him to return to the stage.
In his account, his mobility improved over time: he was first carried and used a wheelchair, then progressed to a walker and a cane. By the time of the September 2025 interview, he said he no longer needed mobility aids. He also estimated then that he was about 90–95 percent recovered. That percentage was Neil’s personal estimate in 2025, not a clinical measurement or a verified update on his health in October 2026.

Why was Mötley Crüe’s Las Vegas residency postponed?
The band had planned to play its Las Vegas residency in March and April 2025. It postponed those dates, initially saying Neil needed a medical procedure. His later disclosure connected the postponement to his stroke and recovery. The delayed residency began in September 2025.
The sequence matters: the stroke was reported to have occurred in December 2024; the spring 2025 residency dates were postponed; Neil publicly described the stroke in September 2025, when the rescheduled residency began. His September account explains the earlier postponement but does not establish his present-day medical condition.
