1. Jackson Millarker played Tom, not Lily
Millarker guest-starred as Tom, Lily’s friend. Aubrey Anderson-Emmons plays Lily, according to ABC’s cast listing. Contemporary Associated Press coverage identified Millarker as an eight-year-old transgender boy and reported that an ABC spokeswoman confirmed his appearance. The Associated Press report and CBS News’ profile use he/him pronouns.

2. His appearance was in Season 8, Episode 2
“A Stereotypical Day” is listed as Season 8, Episode 2 on Peacock’s Season 8 page. Disney+ also lists the episode in its Season 8 catalog. Catalog listings do not guarantee availability in every country or that access will remain unchanged.
3. The Tom and Lily story turns on acceptance
In the episode’s Tom-and-Lily storyline, Cam and Mitchell overhear Lily insulting Tom and use the moment to teach her about acceptance, according to CBS News’ 2016 report. The episode also contains other storylines, so this is one part of its plot rather than a summary of the whole episode.

4. “First” was the contemporary coverage’s framing
Reports in 2016 described Millarker as the first openly transgender child actor on TV or network TV. The Associated Press and TIME, reproducing director Ryan Case’s post, document that framing. It should not be presented as a timeless, independently comprehensive ranking: the reporting establishes how the casting was described then, not a definitive history of every television appearance.

Millarker’s parents told People, as quoted in CBS News’ 2016 profile, that he was excited to portray a character similar to himself. Millarker said of the experience, “It was really fun,” and added, “Since I can remember, I have enjoyed performing.” These are comments reported in 2016, not evidence of his current views or career.
