Paramount’s current listing, checked October 8, 2026, says season two premiered September 18, 2026, and the series has been renewed for season three.

What does the cast say about the characters and tone?
Tom Hardy: a restrained fixer
Hardy told BGR he wanted to play Harry with control rather than showiness: “I really wanted to play Harry in a very contained and measured way.” He framed the character’s appeal around quiet professionalism. Hardy also described gangster stories as “wish fulfillment and escapism,” pointing to the attraction of entering a heightened world from a safe distance. These are his views on the role and genre, not a claim that every viewer responds the same way.

Paddy Considine: the pull of heightened characters
Considine focused on the magnetism of the people in gangster stories: “These kinds of characters, they’re very charismatic, aren’t they?” His explanation was that their heightened, unfamiliar world can draw audiences in. The comment speaks to the genre’s appeal, rather than offering a verdict on the real-world behavior the stories depict.
Joanne Froggatt: familiar style, family heart
Froggatt said viewers would recognize Guy Ritchie’s stylistic imprint, while arguing that the show’s emotional center also feels distinctive. She highlighted “the heart in it,” the family themes, and the prominence of women, saying: “the women are equal to the men in this show.” That is Froggatt’s reading of the drama and its characters. Her comments offer a counterweight to the crime-family premise: the series is not presented only as a story of gangland power, but also as a family drama.
The three interviews were part of BGR’s April 6, 2025 feature, “The Cast Of Guy Ritchie’s MobLand Take Us Inside The Grim New Paramount+ Gangster Drama.”

Associated Press launch-period coverage identifies Ronan Bennett as the creator and Jez Butterworth as a co-writer, and reports that Guy Ritchie directed the first two episodes. Ritchie’s directorial contribution should not be confused with sole authorship or direction of the entire series. The AP report describes the first season as a 10-part series.
How many seasons are there, and is MobLand returning?
As of October 8, 2026, Paramount Global Content lists two seasons and 20 episodes in total. Its listing says season two premiered September 18, 2026, and that the series is renewed for season three. These are current status details, distinct from BGR’s 2025 launch-period interview.
BGR also reported that the March 30, 2025 debut episode drew 2.2 million views, citing Paramount+ internal figures, and called it the service’s most-watched premiere at that time. This is a reported launch-period figure, not an independently audited count or a measure of the show’s current audience.
