What is the Megan Thee Stallion Pepsi commercial?
PepsiCo announced the campaign, titled “Make Your Gameday Epic,” on September 5, 2024, to mark the start of the 2024 NFL season and connect the brand with the then-upcoming film Gladiator II. The commercial reworks Pepsi’s gladiator-era advertising imagery in a modern arena setting. PepsiCo described Megan as Empress Megan, with NFL players cast as gladiators. PepsiCo’s campaign announcement said the film was scheduled to open in theaters on November 22, 2024; that was the release date given at the time.

The featured roster brings together Megan Thee Stallion and four NFL players. Lamorne Morris and Jake Lacy appear in the commercial’s opening setup, too.

Was there a ticket promotion?
Yes, but the announced offer is over. PepsiCo’s 2024 terms described a U.S. promotion for qualifying purchases made at physical or online retailers from October 6 through December 6, 2024. It required at least $20, excluding tax, spent on participating Pepsi beverage products; fountain drinks were excluded. Eligible purchasers could receive a limited Fandango code toward one Gladiator II ticket, subject to account, receipt, household, supply and other terms, and a stated cap on ticket price and fees. The purchase window has passed, so this should not be treated as an active offer.
