Not as a confirmed feature film. On May 20, 2025, Invisible Narratives announced production was underway on Michael Bay’s “exploration” of Skibidi Toilet, calling it “An early creative take on the franchise.” The announcement did not confirm a movie, a final format, or Bay as its director. Bay later said he was not directing a Skibidi movie, while Invisible Narratives CEO Adam Goodman described the work as a test. No release date or final cast has been established in the cited coverage.
What did Invisible Narratives announce?
In its May 20, 2025 announcement, Invisible Narratives said production was underway on Michael Bay’s “exploration” of Skibidi Toilet and described it as “An early creative take on the franchise.” Animation World Network reproduced the announcement, which also said Invisible Narratives was producing, developing, and financing the project. Those words confirm work on an early creative project, but they do not identify it as a completed feature-film production or say Bay is directing a movie. Animation World Network, May 20, 2025.
Is it a Skibidi Toilet movie, and is Bay directing?
The announcement did not specify whether the exploration would become a film, television show, or another format. It also gave no release timetable, according to Insider Gaming’s contemporaneous report.
In May 2025, Bay said in an Instagram video that he was not directing a Skibidi movie. Rolling Stone India later quoted Invisible Narratives CEO Adam Goodman describing Bay’s work as a test: “He came out and he’s like, I’m not making a movie, I’m doing a test, I went to a soundstage and I shot some stuff.” That is Goodman’s reported wording as quoted by the publication, not a direct transcript available here. No. Cartoon Brew reported on September 3, 2026 that Invisible Narratives confirmed creator Alexey Gerasimov was not then involved in the development or production of a team working on future Skibidi Toilet episodes. That report concerns the ongoing series, not Bay’s distinct exploration, so it does not settle the format or status of his project. Cartoon Brew, September 3, 2026.
