What was announced about Mary Fowler’s Barbie doll?
On 23 May 2024, Fowler’s talent representative, Always Human, announced that Barbie had created a one-of-a-kind doll in her likeness. The announcement placed the recognition among Barbie’s 65th-anniversary celebrations and said Fowler worked with Barbie on the design. Why the doll wears a bubble braid, gloves and boots
Fowler said she wanted the doll to reflect her most confident self, which she associates with being on the football pitch. She paid particular attention to the hair, boots and gloves, making the doll’s appearance closely tied to her football identity.

Can you buy the Mary Fowler Barbie doll?

What the recognition means—and what it does not establish
Always Human CEO Josh White described the partnership as a celebration of empowerment, confidence and girls’ potential. That is his view of the collaboration, not a measured finding about its impact. No named study, campaign impact statistic or sales figure for Fowler’s doll is given in the announcement.
