The Masked Singer season 13 was the 2025 U.S. FOX season, running from February 12 to May 7. Fifteen masked celebrities competed for the Golden Mask Trophy, and country singer Gretchen Wilson won as Pearl. The season also introduced Detective Lucky Duck, a clue-giving character later revealed as filmmaker Taika Waititi.
What was the new character on The Masked Singer season 13?
Detective Lucky Duck was a mystery figure who helped viewers look for hints about the contestants. FOX TV Stations described the character as pointing out subtle clues and offering tidbits to help solve the identities. Lucky Duck was not a contestant competing for the Golden Mask Trophy.
The show also added a “crack-the-case clue case,” which presented each performer’s most personal clue before that contestant was unmasked. In a sneak peek, Lucky Duck introduced himself by saying, “Think of me as your personal good luck charm.” FOX TV Stations later reported that Taika Waititi was behind the duck costume, revealed during the April 30 semifinal. That episode did not eliminate a contestant.
Who won season 13?
Pearl won the season and was unmasked as country singer Gretchen Wilson. FOX’s finale report says Wilson reflected after the reveal: “This is definitely something for the books.”
