What happened during the Hollywood Week performance?
TV Insider’s recap describes Chakell performing Ariana Grande’s “Tattooed Heart.” She stopped and asked the pianist to restart, then tried singing the song a cappella. The recap says Chakell felt the pianist had changed what they had rehearsed. It also reports that judge Luke Bryan found the performance shaky in places; that is the recap’s characterization, not a verified verbatim quotation.

What song did Chakell sing at her audition?
Her televised audition was a separate performance: TVLine’s March 3, 2024 recap identifies her song as Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl.” The recap says Perry appeared confused by the performance but saw potential and gave Chakell another chance. That audition should not be confused with the Hollywood Week “Tattooed Heart” scene.
