The reaction continued into her opening joke to Hart, but the available reporting does not show that the joke caused the boos—or establish why the audience reacted that way.
When and where did the booing happen?
The incident took place during the live roast at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. Hart introduced Kardashian, and the audience began booing before she had delivered the opening joke at the center of the moment, according to The Independent.

As Kardashian began to tease Hart about his height, the boos continued. PerthNow reports that she started, “I know a lot of people make fun of your height,” before Hart interjected, “Woah, woah, woah.” Those words are dialogue reproduced by the outlet, rather than an official transcript. PerthNow’s account places Hart’s intervention after almost 20 seconds; the Los Angeles Times describes Kardashian recovering from about 15 seconds of boos. The Independent says the reaction lasted more than 10 seconds.
Did the Kevin Hart joke cause the boos?
The reported sequence does not support that conclusion: the crowd was already booing when Hart introduced Kardashian, before she started the height joke. The joke and the booing overlapped, but the coverage does not establish what prompted the reaction or what individual audience members meant by it.

How did Kardashian respond?
Hart stepped in as the boos continued. Kardashian restarted her thought and carried on with her roast set. The Los Angeles Times reports that she later drew laughs and applause, including with jokes about dating rumors involving Tom Brady and his seven Super Bowl wins.

Yes. The Netflix replay omitted the booing and showed Kardashian being greeted with applause, as The Independent reported. Netflix vice president of stand-up and comedy formats Robbie Praw told TVLine that post-edits are standard for comedy specials and live broadcasts, including adding or removing material that cannot be changed while an event is streaming live. He said talent were not consulted about the post-edits. TVLine also reported that Kardashian did not ask Netflix to remove the boos.
