Kate Hudson and fiancé Danny Fujikawa attended the Los Angeles premiere of Song Sung Blue during AFI Fest on October 26, 2025. The red-carpet appearance was described as rare because the couple had not been seen together on a red carpet in months—not because their overall public appearances have been counted.
Where Kate Hudson and Danny Fujikawa appeared
The couple attended the AFI Fest premiere of Hudson’s film Song Sung Blue in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 26, 2025. The occasion was a film premiere, not a wedding or a separate event centered on the couple. Daily Jang’s October 28 report and AOL’s October 27 republication of InStyle both describe the outing as their first red-carpet appearance together in months.

What they wore
Daily Jang described Hudson’s dress as a silky, amber-colored gown and Fujikawa’s outfit as a brown pinstripe suit with a black T-shirt and black sneakers.
AOL/InStyle attributed Hudson’s gown to Roksanda’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection and reported that stylist Sophie Lopez assisted with the look. It also mentioned a gold clutch, statement rings and gold starburst earrings. Those designer and accessory details come from that report alone.

Why the appearance was called rare
“Rare” is the outlets’ characterization of a joint red-carpet appearance after a gap of months. It is not a measured count of how often Hudson and Fujikawa appear together in public, and the reports do not establish that they had been absent from all public events.

Hudson and Fujikawa announced their engagement on September 13, 2021. Hudson’s caption was: “Let’s go!” Daily Jang said in its October 28, 2025 article that the couple had not revealed wedding plans as of that publication. That dated report does not establish what their plans are now.
